Games I've Made

As well as playing games, I also love making them. Here's some of my favourites.

A Totally Generic Platformer

Theme "It's a bug, not a feature"
Using WebSockets
Event Python Discord Summer Code Jam 2022

A totally generic, average platformer with nothing out of the ordinary... obviously...

This is best explained through a short video, which was used as part of the judging process.

Graph Train

Theme "Retro"
Event Great Warwick Game Jam 2023

A puzzle/educational game where you have to type in an equation to complete the track, all while the train is moving and about to derail!

This game aims to capture the joy of simply plotting graphs, while also providing interesting challenges - graph plotting leads to some very interesting puzzles! The concept also has many applications in the classroom to teach function transformations, trigonometric curves or anything graphical.

Homemade C Code

Theme "Homemade"
Event WGD Society Game Jam - Term 1 2024

A game about writing the worst C code possible. Contains two sections:

  • A minigame where you have to identify if a snippet of code is valid or not, so you can become more familiar with weird syntax.
  • A minigame where you are given some beautifully written code, and you have to make it as bad and unreadable as possible without changing what it does.

Hunted & Haunted

Theme "Hunted & Haunted"
Event WGD Society Game Jam - Term 1 2023

A top-down chaotic bullet hell shooter where each enemy you kill haunts you.

An infinite shooter which starts easy but quickly becomes quite difficult! With 7 enemy types and increasing spawn rates, how long can you last?

The game is playable on itch.io and also open source on GitHub so feel free to take a look and work on it if you like!

Minecraft

I've also played a lot of Minecraft, beginning with MCPE. I've mostly played on 1.7.10 modded worlds, but have also made cool things in vanilla. Unfortunately, I haven't managed to obtain screenshots for the vast majority of my worlds, particularly modded ones.

a picture of a go-kart track in minecraft an image of a max size reactor a picture of a house with the floor made up of xp a picture of a tube station in vanilla minecraft a picture taken while travelling along a minecart track on an automated railway system a picture of a car in minecraft a picture of the outside of the chat quiz map, consisting of lots of messy command blocks a picture of the outside of an undergound base, with lots of cables and mess a picture of the interior of a house a picture of one of my first houses, in pocket edition a map of the tube network I made in vanilla minecraft

Terraria

I originally started playing Terraria on mobile and have since spent a long time playing. I particularly like large chest rooms and efficient transport networks. Here's some screenshots from some of my worlds:

an image of my base in terraria, focused on the chest room an image of a teleporter in the teleporter transport network a picture of an arena filled with heart statues a picture of a very bright house filled with lots of torches, on old terraria mobile a screenshot of a map in terraria that looks very messy
